NEWS

Congratulations to James and Erica Packer on the birth of their baby daughter Indigo on Sunday afternoon the 27th July. Also a belated congrats to Tommy and Lissette Wilson on the birth of their daughter Ruby in England 8 weeks ago. The English pre season handicap list has been released and a few of the changes are listed below. From 9 to 10 goes Pablo MacDonough and Gonzalo Pieres Jr, from 8 to 9 David (Pelon) Sterling, 6 to 7 James Biem, from 5 to 6 Juan Ambroggio, Ignus du Plessis, Sam Hopkinson and Tom Morley, from 3 to 4 Ed Hitchmann and Richard Le Poer, from 2 to 3 Alfio Marchini and Max Routledge, from 0 to 1 Lyndon Lea, and Jason Stowe and from 7 to 6 Mark Tomlinson and Tommy Wilson.

CORONATIONS CUP

Unfortunately i have to report that England beat Australia, on Sunday the 27th July to take out the Coronations Cup, 10 to 9. I dont have any reports yet just a text to say that it was a very good game. In the curtain raiser before the Cup The Prince of Wales team was defeated by The Hurlingham Polo Team 7 to 71/2. The Prince Of Wales team was Santham Dhillon 5, James Harper 5, Tom Morley 6 and Nacho Gonzalez (c) 6. Nacho, for those who dont know, is the son of Linda Shepherd. The Hurlingham team was Johnny Good 5, Jamie Lee Hardy 5, Henry Brett (c) 6 and Chris Hyde 6. I will have more to report on the game later.

GOLD CUP ENGLAND

Loro Piana have proved too strong for Ellerston and have won the Gold Cup for the British Open 11-10. Loro Piana team was Alfio Marchini 2, David Stirling 8, Juan Martin Nero 10 and Jamie Peel 2. The Ellerston team was Max Routledge 2, Gonzalo Pieres Jr.9, Facundo Pieres Jr. 10 and James Packer / Tom Barrack 1. The MVP was Juan Martin Nero and the Champion Pony was "Noche" played by Juan Mar also.

ALSACE 6 AND CITY MOTORS 2 GOAL


The finals have been run and won. The game were played at Alsace and the results are as follows.

The 2 goal final was won by Wastecorp over Primo 5-3. In the other games City Auction beat Mortimers in the first game of the day and then Alsace beat Peppers.

The 6 goal final was won by Wright Property over Custodian 8-5. Glen Wright was replaced in the 4th chukka after having a couple of falls. Halkeas beat Willowcroft 9-71/2. Sadie Michelle is on a plane going over to support the Aussies at the Coronations. She will join Ed Gould, who is the Aussie reserve, James Archibald, Steph Warton, who has gone to keep DJ in check, and i am sure that there are a lot more there that we have not heard about.

ALSACE 6 AND cITY MOTOR AUCTION 2 GOAL



Todays games were played at Elysian Field and tomorrow the finals will be held back at Niel and Trish Fords "Alsace". Custodian will play Wright Property in the final of the 6 gaol and Primo will play Wastecorp in the 2 goal final

Todays results are. in the 6 goal Halkeas defeated Willowcroft. Wright Property defeated Custodian. In the 2 goal Wastecorp defeated City Auction who had a few replacement players today with Arther Morgenstien and his wife replacing Angelo Russo and J Morgan. Primo defeated Alsace and Peppers defeated Mortimores.

In England Ellerston have made it through to the second high goal final for the season. They defeated Sumaya 14-11 and their opposition Loro Piana defeated Brittany Polo 14-10. Well done teams. All the beat for the finals.

The semi finals have been decided for the Gold Cup in England. Ellerston, Suyama, Loro Piana and Brittany Polo are through but i am not able to let you know who plays who yet. DONT FORGET Australia takes on England in 2 weeks at the Coronations Cup. Go Aussie.

Bicester Village Polo International

Great Britain beat our Australian side at the Bicester Village Polo International at Kirtlington on the 28th June. The 21 goal English side took on the 26 goal Australian team. Great Britain started with a 3 and a half goal handicap advantage. They held the lead throughout the game, ending with a score of 6 and a half to 5. Australias Ruki Baillieu's grey Pony, Vision, won best playing pony.

CORONATIONS CUP ENGLAND

The English team to play Australia at The Coronations Cup has been announced.
