COUNTESS OF DUDLEY CUP
Jemalong will be playing Willowcroft in the final of the 2008 Dudley Cup after they defeated Windsor and Sandalford respectivly. The Final of the JJ Garvin Cup will be fought out between Ellerston and Goulburn.

Nominees were identified after the committee shortlisted five top individuals or teams in each category. The voting committee also appoints the recipients of lifetime achievement awards.

Jemalong defeated Goulburn by 2 goals, Willowcroft defeated Ellerston by 3 goals, Windsor defeated Sydney Polo Country Club by 2 goals and Sandalford defeated Millamolong by 2 goals. The Prestigious Countess of Dudley Cup.
The Countess of Dudley Cup tournament is one of Australia's most traditional & prestigious trophies in polo. The 12 goal tournament, held to decide the premier Club in NSW, is the State Club Championships, and some of Australia's highest rated players will complete to win its trophy. It was first presented at the inaugural tournament in 1910.

Sorry that these results took so long to get up. The D Cgade was won by Killarney. Graham Birrell, Tony Ryan, Danny Kerr and Will Evans.
The Subsiduary Final for the Guards Polo Club Trophy was won by Ellerston. Matt Grimes, Neil Craig, Hamish Cottier and Tony Johnston over Sydney Polo Country Club. Mark Field, Greg Ballard, Peter Higgins and Samir Sehag. The Final of the Sir Phillip Charles Trophy went to Willowcroft, Sadie Michell, Cooch Lynch, Damien Johnston and Will Gilmore, over Winten. Adam Tolhurst, Dave Rothwell, Hamish McGregor, and Dick Doolin.

The C Grade winners of the Silver Bullet Trophy were Pol Painters, Vic Lewis, Adam Buchert, Earl herbert and Hayden Kerr. They defeated Jemalong. Zac Haggadoren, Ben Sweetland, Katie Grimmond and Jason Coup.
The B Grade winners of the M K Milne Trophy were Goulburn, Cole and Augustus Agurrie, Simon Walker and Gus Campbell. They defeated Gundalong. Chris Barber, Adam meally, Ric McCarthy and Lach Graham.

Ellerston plays Jemalong on Saturday and the winner of this game plays Sydney Polo Country Club in the subsiduary final for the Guards Polo Club Trophy on Sunday.

The A Grade was fought out by Saddie Michell's "Willowcroft" with Damien Johnston, Lachie Graham and Cooch Lynch and Peter Prendiville's "Sandalford" with Ross Ainsley, Tex Webster and "Bear" Marshall. Sandalford won 12 to 9. The MVP was Ross Ainsley and the Champion Pony was Ross' third chukka horse "Flamenco". The picture below is Ross on Flamenco.
